It was great to catch this piece on our local news – therapy dogs around the country continue to enrich the lives of the humans they encounter, and their praises are not sung often enough.

Now let’s meet Cora and her owner Deb Helfrich from Therapy Dogs of Vermont. They go door-to-door at Starr Farm every week, paying visits to the nursing home’s residents, who are quick to applaud the duo and their regular visits. Says Helfrich, “I think it just puts life in perspective, by seeing how something as simple as scratching a dog can brighten someone’s entire day.”
